NSTS launches new life-long educational programmes
NSTS has recently launched new Work Placements, Internships and Aupairing programmes. These life-long educational programmes empower students and young adults to grab life by the horns encouraging them to enhance their personal development through life experiences. We promote a lifestyle of autonomy, ambition, academic advancement, adventure, a sense of accomplishment, and support anyone who takes advantage of these programmes.
• Work Placements – ideal for those keen to enjoy a free holiday in another country and have to sacrifice daily some time to realise this. You would like to gain from the experience but have limited motivation to acquire further intellectual enrichment. This is an opportunity for students and youths alike to widen their horizons, to acquire important personal skills, to network among the workforce, and to put themselves forward for forthcoming paid work opportunities. Furthermore they might have the opportunity to apply their existing knowledge in a field that is related to their career plans.
• An Internship enables one to gain hands-on knowledge of the job and of the different corporate culture they are in. Furthermore they have the chance of improving their spoken English and learn a new language in the area of work, in exchange of their labour for their employability, mobility and career advancement.
• Au Pairs are looking to gain experience working with children. They look forward to living with and like the locals. Moreover they enjoy being part of a local family rather then being alone in a foreign country. They like to make friends that will last a lifetime. Besides improving their spoken English, they also have the chance to learn a new language as well as scout around and explore the country from within. The Au Pair receives free food and lodging at the family’s home in exchange for his/her services. In most countries, they also get pocket money each week.
Outstanding Au Pairs also have the chance to be nominated for the Au Pair of the Year to be awarded next year in March, in Hungary, Budapest during the IAPA Annual Conference and Work Experience Travel Market. The winner will be invited to attend the award ceremony, all expenses paid.
NSTS are firm believers in lifelong learning and are oriented towards providing a meaningful educational experience using both formal and non-formal methodologies.
