NSTF was involved in the restoration and preservation of one of the earliest chapels still standing today – the chapel of St. Michael, “Is-Sancier”, found in the outskirts of Rabat, Malta. Architecturally it is dated round the middle of the fifteenth century, with two reinforcing structures added later. The chapel had been used by farmers as a store for tools and manure, and as a cow shed. In 1981, the Foundation provided the funding to restore the chapel back to its rightful conditions.
